About DJHe was born in Bogota- Colombia in 1981.Mauricio Acosta Lazaro. ( Dj. Groove 69). In 1995 he started his path in electronic sounds. A follower of the underground scene in “La Candelaria” a trendy, bohemian neighborhood in downtown Bogota and of D.j Producers like: Jairo Martinez (Jayway), Charlie ( guitar player from Aterciopelado´s) (Statik), Mario T-chack from Latin Lover´s crew, Bluekim from Techsound, Giovanni Matheus from vector Records and Daniel Broderick (Danny Boom) from Mutaxion collective. He focused and directed his passion towards strong, energetic and deep techno sounds, tribal and tech house. Seduced by vinils he connected himself to deks in 1996 and started to impose strong and deep sounds in his sessions encouraged by producers like: Plastic Man (Richie Hawtin), Claude Young, Richard Bartz, Eddie Fiola among others. But his passion for tribal sounds forces him to get involved with percussive sounds. This is how, in 2002, throughout his friend Dj Alexa he meets Richie Hawtin, Gaetano Parisio, Mistress Brabara and Corvin Dalek who were invited to play in Bogota in Bives rave. This encounter marks and focuses Mauricio towards what he wanted to communicate in the dance floor. His sets were defined by tribal-tech and electro-techno with a tint of house. This became his trademark. Back then Dj. Porn Star was an ally of producers like: Jeff Mills, Bem Sims, Marco Bailey, Cristian Varela, Umek, Jel Ford, Gaetano Parisio, Felix Da House, Cat Bryan, Zentz, Oxia and with more strength towards the Swedish scene with : Adam Beyer, Joel Mull, Cristian Smit and Samuel Sessions, whom which he had the opportunity to mix. In 2004 focused on the dance floor he realizes that sounds full of intensity and strength would be more balanced along with house music. This is how he begins to search for new sounds in tech house, deep house and progressive house achieving moments of happiness, energy and smoothness in people. Throughout producers like: Olav Basosky, Timo Maas, Darren Emersson (Underworld), Chus y Ceballos, Joesky, Stephen K, Wally Lopez among others. In 2004 Mauricio meets Miguel Olave (Dj Greko), who had just arrived from Argentina were he completed his studies in Electronic Music Production in the Sonic School in Buenos Aires, he then feels attracted towards music production and begins to get involved and learns how manipulate production software (Reason, Soundfourge and Cooledit pro) with which he produced a great amount of mixes that he used in his sessions. In 2005 using the pseudonym Dj Daddy and with a groovy dance style he becomes resident Dj in “3 Lounge”, located in“La Macarena” and which ends up being one of the best dance bars in downtown Bogota. After that he unfolds the best of his work in Vector Records online music station along with its creator Giovanni Matheus. He continues to search and investigate in the global electronic music scene in order to improve his sound and the energy in his sets to keep up with the vitality of the electronic scene lovers. He gives his best sets creating logical and curvilinear surroundings with out sticking to only one style giving dynamism to 3 to 5 hour long sessions. He plays in many of the best clubs and bars in Bogota such as: El Chacha, Penthouse, Tantra, La Sala, Theatrino, Lux, Escobar Rosas, Vinacure, En Obra, In Vitro, Cabarette, Musique, Miranda, Monitor, Metropolis, Warehouse, magnolia, Las Moscas, La Modelo, Guarana, 616, Socorro, Sin City, Piso 3, Lottus (amoung others). In Medellin :El Deck, B Lounge, Berlin and La Kasa. In Cartagena: MrBabilla along with Christian Smith (Sweden) and in many occasions with Javier Duke, Dj, producer and owner of the Oz Club. In Cali: Forum Club, El Saloon, and Lago Calima. He has also mixed in many non commercial places throughout Colombia. In 2007 he gets linked with Sungay (a Colombian Diversity Foundation who throws parties on Sundays) and mixes together with djs such as: Dj Greko, Dj Marclo Mejia, Dj Mistik, Dj Jayway, Dj Statik, Dj Phonica and Dj Aihnoa. Nowadays his sets go from deep, minimalist but full of electro house and minimal house sounds. Sounds Involving sounds used by artists like: Sebastian Leger, Deadmau5, Dave Spoon, Steve Angello, Alex Gaudino, Hoxton Whores, Aston M;artinez, Ned Sheppard among others. Mauricio has also worked in promotional parties, around Colombia, for companies such as: Sony Ericsson, Movistar, Alpina, Uniliver, Diesel and Red Label among others. He is now developing a project named Groove and Drum. Groove and Drum is a proposal that arises due to the necessity to create fine and demanding sounds related to acid jazz and funky fusion with live percussion sounds named Live Percussion Sound System. This in order to obtain a perfect balance and create fine sound Mauricio Acosta Lazaro is in charge of Dj set and live mix: Dj- producer (Dj Groove 69) Enrique Egurrola Zuleta is in charge of percussion and producing: Sound Engineer- producer- Percussionist (Sidestepper and Bomba Estereo.
